RCS Microbial Air Samplers were the first handheld, battery powered
air samplers in the world. Due to the increased requirements for
microbial air sampling over the years, the RCS has been incorporated
into the environmental monitoring protocols of many including but not
limited to the pharmaceutical, automotive, indoor air quality, health
care, food, and cosmetic industry.
The Biotest air samplers are the only one of its kind based on the RCS
centrifugal sampling principle. This is a special form of the
impaction principle which allows airborne microorganisms to be
collected onto a semi-soft agar strip which is inserted into the
sampling head of the instrument. The force is gentle enough to even
detect damaged organisms.Used alongside the Biotest Agar Strips, you
are guaranteed accurate and reproducible results time and time again.
Biotest Agar Strips are of the highest quality. Each agar strip is
contained within a sterile outer packaging for ease of handling,
reduced user contamination, and portability. Biotest provides a wide
variety of validated microbiological media for use within many
applications. Validated with the RCS Microbial Air Sampler, Biotest
Agar Media provides the only closed system which meets ISO 14698
guidelines.
HYCON Contact Slides are ideal for surface testing. Their unique
design allows you to sample curved surfaces. Their individual
packaging helps eliminate wastage of media by allowing you to use the
number of samples as needed. Competitor products require you to
discard or use the entire contents if one package is opened.
